Normal Work Schedule

Note: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of Corporate Medical management. They may be changed (increased or decreased) by Corporate Medical management as required.

Hours of Work: Hours vary according to needs of department. Usually scheduled for nine hour shift.

Days of Work: Monday through Friday as scheduled by Corporate Medical management. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays if needed by operations and approved by Corporate Medical management.

The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is: Under supervision of Corporate Medical Management, responsible 1. to manage & control the necessary medical care of all associates; 2. to manage all required
federal & state records for OSHA & workers' compensation and manage the cost associated with operating budget of department & workers' compensation; 3. provide direction and supervision of wellness center staff

Describe below the major responsibilities of this position which must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodations in order to

achieve the essential purpose of this position.

1. Manage wellness center staff & function to ensure quality nursing practice, patient interaction & treatment, and control costs through strategic and tactical planning & growth. Assume responsibility for professional development and continuing education.

2. Administer & maintain occupational health program consistent with company policies & procedures to include federal & state recordkeeping related to OSHA, Workers' Compensation, post-offer physicals, integrated disability management, etc., as established
by Customer Supplier Agreements.

3. Manage wellness center areas of practice to include scheduled appointments, standard operating procedures, patients per hour, generic samples, budget & finance, etc.

4. Establish & maintain systems to improve health of associates & dependents through direct provision of medical care efficiently and appropriately delivered, e.g. HIP (Perdue's Health Improvement Program), health & wellness programs, annual health fairs,



Describe the decision-making authority of this position, the nature and extent of supervision available and the point at which higher approval is required. Manage delivery of appropriate health care for associates and covered dependents; maintain appropriate
coverage in wellness center at all times; manage people and financial budget.


This position spends 10 % of a normal workweek supervising other Associates.

This position spends 20 % of a normal workweek training and developing other Associates.

This position spends 30 % of a normal workweek performing technical analyses and writing reports.

This position spends 40 % of a normal workweek in production or maintenance-related activities.


The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:

Although the majority of work is done in an office/clinical environment, there is also exposure to variable inter-facility and external environmental conditions (i.e., 0 dBA to 100+ dBA; 0 to 100 degrees temperature; 0% to 100% humidity). Must have the
ability to move throughout the processing plant and the surrounding environs. Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
